Default weird noise from sub

i have a 97 civic and just put a system in it. at first i was all good, but the power wire was sticking out and i thought it was gonnna touch with the ground wire so i screwed the wire in a little more. i turn on the system and now it makes a weird noise. when there's no music playing the sub just bumps, like boom boom boom boom, even though theres nothing playing. can some one help me out. thanx

when you say no music...do you mean from the sub itself or from your mids/highs? also, is there a 4-channel amp installed? please list alittle more detail on the "system" setup that you have, i.e. type of amp, head unit, sub, etc. and I will try to help out.

Your ground is bad, I've seen that before. No input, but the subs still oscilate.
