im looking to convert my auto to manuel.
here is my problem... before i strt looking for a good deal on a new trans do all the d series use the same trans?
whats my options here?
im lookin to do this to my 98 ex coupe.

thanks for the help


ohh and sell auto buy standard is not an option

you can get an EX tranny, which is the best out of the d-series because it has shorter gears.

You will run through alot of headaches, like bolt seizes, getting that torque convertor off, etc.

If you're getting a 98 trans, you should look between 96-98 d16y8 ex tranny's because those will bolt right up. You'll also need a diff't ECU, harness, intake mani, distributor, etc
