Default Finaly, the time has arrived! TURBO!!

Well the time has finaly arrived!, I bought a Turbonetics t3/t4 kit, and me and my buddy are going to install it this weekend (well, really just him since he knows what he's doing, I'm just going to mostly watch and learn, and recover all the tools that he may throw!!) I also got an ACT clutch, and a Flowmaster exhaust ( I know, they are mostly muscle car exhaust, but it's made for my car and I got a good deal) I also bought a hondata s200 w/ boost option, but I'm going to run turbonetics fuel management untill I have enough money to buy new injectors, Fuel pump, and Fuel pressure regulator. Question though, will I need to have a new fuel pressure regulator on my LS before I run turbonetics fuel management? My buddy says I probably will, but the turbonetics kit didn't include one, and I don't think it says anything about it in the directions, so I'm thinking that they already took the stock one into account? If I start to lean out, it will show me on the A/F guage and I can adjust accordingly correct? Also, once I run the hondata and the new injectors in the block, will I still be running the two injectors that are going into the intake pipe aswell? Anyhow, I can't wait for this weekend!!

a few things. if you intend to use the fuel management included in the kit do not boost a lot. run it off the wastegate spring until you can upgrade to better fuel management. unless you have a wideband o2 sensor and gauge, whatever you have now isnt going to be of any practical use. and when you use the hondata and new injectors, the two included in the kit become useless as well.

a wideband can more accurately monitor the a/f ratios. something the stock narrowband cannot do. so if you have an autometer a/f gauge, it's pretty useless other than for a light show.

:werd: You can get a new Walbro 255 fuel pump for $100. The injectors on the other hand will set you back a few, unless you get some used ones.
When I turboed my car, I thought it was going to be down for the weekend only. From the time it was started to completed it was a little over a week. Juts because I ran into unexpected problems.

Default Turbo?

Does this mean that you really couldn't get on this system until you
added the hondata system and changed the fuel management?

You could, but if it blows up, you will know why. I ran my kit for a year and a half on the untunable Greddy blue box and it ran fine. The difference between that and a tuneable EMS was night and day, however.
