Default gsr lock and temp problems.

ok, so ive had two integras so far and they both have had the same problems. the door locks. when i hit the button they move half way and stop. it kinda defeats the purpose of having power door locks if you still have to crawl across the passenger seat to lock the door. anyone else have this problem. also ive noticed latley that my car never really reaches operating temp. i mean if im sitting in traffic it does, but on the highway the temp is barley above the first line, and i mean barley. any suggestions on this? thanks

I have had the problems with the door locks... not with the temp... but it only seems to happen when its cold...

Whatabout window actuators? they generally fail?

as far as your temp issue, it sounds like your thermostat is stuck open. try replacing that and see if it makes a difference.

Look into the helms manual and do the proper steps on trouble shooting the thermostat before replacing it. Its usually testing with micrometer and couple other things.

Yep. Same thing happened to me and the thermostat ended up being rusted open a crack letting the coolant circulate all the time and never allowing it to warm up.

No need to test it...the thermostat only costs $12 from Acura. It is two bolts to replace.

I replaced the sensor, like I said before, but I'm still throwing the CEL. It's been too cold and rainy to get out there and really check it out.

I have had problems in the past with my '00 where my door locks would go into rapid fire mode where they would open/close rapidly when I hit the remote button. Only happens when it's cold - but it hasn't happened yet this year (it's not all that cold for some reason).

The dealership didn't do a whole lot in the way of fixing them. They took a look at it a few times and claimed to have replaced a few parts, but nothing really stopped it from happening.

Thinking of it...Last spring I had to get the OBD replaced - it completely died and was setting my alarm off at random times. Since the keyless entry and alarm are tied into the same system, maybe it was the same problem that was messing with the door locks...
