Just wondering what you guys think this might be? I think it's possibly a loose belt from it being so cold here lately. This noise only started recently and goes away after a few minutes. It doesn't sound like the usual squeal of a slipping belt but instead sounds like a bunch of squabbling chickens or something. I know, not a very good description but it's really the only way I can think to word it.

 

I would spray some belt dressing on all belts and see if the noises go away.

 

alright, seeing as i am still having this noise issue i will have to give that a try. can i get belt dressing at most any auto parts store?

 

I think most auot parts store should have those. I heard most belt dressing don't really have any long term effects on belts though. In fact you could just spray some water on the belts to see if the noise goes away.

 

Wont u try spreading some candle wax on the belt one at a time, the squeel will go away if u spread it on the right belt, then u need to replace that specific one.

 

it happens when engines are in cold weather... it's just the cold in general affecting various engine parts
