Default Misfire: i cannot figure it out

Alright, 97 gsr. I've just recently re-tensioned my TB (rock flew in.. long story). I've done everything 100% to the helms manual. Started her up, ran great. Two days later i get the Cel, It's p1300 + the misfire codes for all 4 cyls. P1300 = random misfire.

I replaced the Cap/rotor/plugs 10,000 miles ago. The problem is, the b18c1 distributor cap doesn't bolt up correctly, the top is too long but i decided to just it, it was fine for 10,000 miles so i used it.

Now.... for some reason a 97' civic vtec motor distributor cap fits my gsr cap 100%. *shurgs*.

I re-gapped my plugs to .44, cleaned off my cap / rotor and i'm still getting misfire.

Is there anyway to check my timing with a timing light?

Why am i still getting this CEL? This car is driving me crazy.

There is a marking on distributors, TD-xxU. An OBD2 GSR should be TD-84U. An '97 Civic VTEC should be TD-73 or td-80.
What does your distributor say?

Yeah, just a suggestion. My friend is going through the same CEL code in his '96 GSR.

Did you replace your wires too?

no i didn't repalce the wire, what i did was used a timing light and set it to the famous 18 btdc. When i checked it, it was at 14'. So we'll see if this takes care of the P1300 random misfire.

I've been dealing with the same code for 2 months (CSF Sensor No Signal / "P1337" Engine Speed (RPM) Fluctuation Sensor No Signal.), I cannot figure it out. I've also got random misfire codes as well. Although the car seems to run fine and i don't hear anything odd.

I've replaced, plugs, wires, cap rotor, ignition coil, I did a valve lash, and checked the timing 16'.

I'm also running rich, i can smell the gas a bit if i stick my nose in the tail pipe.

When i rev the engine i can hear it crescendoing with ticking, so i'm hoping i don't have a chipped/bent valve.

So what can it be? Any guesses? i've searched and searched.
