Default what rod bolts do i have???

Hey, i bought a b20vtec for my DB1. It was a pretty good deal at 750$cdn.
But my problem is that i dont know how to tell if it has stock connecting rod bolts or ARP. How can i tell the difference??? Also how can i tell if head studs are stock or not?? I dont want this thing to grenade on me.

any help would be awesome!

okay so i saw that my headstuds are ARP for sure, it is stamped on the top of them, my bad for not looking close enough. But still not sure about the connecting rod bolts, all i know is that they are about 5/16" in diameter if that helps any. Anybody know the diameter of stock rod bolts compared to these ones????

ARP Head studs will be studs in the block with a nut & washer which mates at the top.

OEM will be Bolts that you insert after the head is placed.

For the rod's, ARP will be bolts, factory will be studs with a nut.

See the rod bolts on Cyl. 2 and 3? They are ARP - which I marked/colored with a sharpie marker to determine which is I/E side of the motor.

so how hard is it to install ARP rod bolts myself?? Do i have to do any drilling and tapping for the new bolts? I have lots of mechanical experiernce if that is a concern (3rd yr auto. apprentice). Do the stock rod studs need to be pressed out with a press?

Thanks for the the help by the way guys

you need to have the rods resized to correctly install arp bolts
