Default which turbo kit?

Ive looked at all possible options for an all motor build. While it is possible, boostin' is cheaper. So What kit would you all recommend? The last issue of turbo magazine had a gsr with only cat-back exhaust and edelbrock turbo kit. I don't know the exact numbers but it was like 250ish/160ish hp/tq. But the kit is like 3 grand +! did anyone piece together a good one?

Use the search button. Food and Schmoo both have good threads on Turbo builds.

I answered this question like 2 weeks ago...

Greddy or Edelbrock for 'bolt-on' kits. All depends on what you want to accomplish. Please search, you'll be surprised what you'll find.

edelbrok kits are so expensive because they are soooooooooooo complete, and they use great hardware with great quality. on top of that they produce great power gains and maintain driveability.

btw, i made 200whp and 198ft lbs at 7psi with my greddy kit breathing through a 2.25 exhaust with cat...

hti me up via pm, i have a full turbo kit that i am selling off... i actually jus ttook it off last night  hit me up for the details....

but to answer your qeustoin u need to look at what WHP goal u want to hit? smog an issue? are u going to build your motor? all of these will determine what type of kit u should get...

i personally have a greddy turbo kit, with a spearco FMIC, upgraded injectors, and tunned with crome pro... i was hitting 12 psi on a stock motor i never got it onthe dyno, but my guess i was very close to the 300whp mark if no more...

12 psi stock motor....that should be around 275whp with the greddy kit, assuming a 10whp per psi factor, and a 155whp stock NA gsr dyno.

you should have got it on the dyno!! its a nerve racking experience, especially during tuning, but its so worth it.

i have my videos if u guys want them, send me your email addresses.
