Default idle/jerking problem after swap, multiple CELs

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my 95 LX. I just swapped in a JDM F22B dohc and the thing's having some major runability problems. My mechanic wasn't sure how to check the CELs without the new engine's vin for some reason, so they gave me my car back to get them myself.

The car has a real tough time starting up if the engine's cold, it takes a few attempts to get the engine to keep running. The first few times it either doesn't start or the idle gradually slows until it dies. If I try to give it gas when it does this the throttle takes at least a second to respond and the engine pops loudly and dies. After that it will start up and have an irregular idle, and when a certain rpm range is hit (in all gears as well as neutral), the rpm will bounce up and down and make the car jerk if being driven. It happens just as the gas is slightly depressed, cruising at a low rpm until the late 2000s.

I checked which CELs it would throw at me & got codes 1, 14 and 6.
1 - O2A - Oxygen sensor #1
14 - IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
6 - ECT - water temperature sensor

I found a few threads about people getting the same problems & changing their IACs only to have the problem persist. If anyone has any ideas / input I'd really appreciate it.

I'll put up links to the other threads I found so you can read a little bit more of what other people went through..

i'm using the correct ecu for the jdm engine, a p39, and it has no knock sensor.

i'm gonna do some valve troubleshooting though.
