For Sale: 2000 Civic Si 73k Bone Stock (No 56k)
Hello All!
I've decided to sell my Black 2000 Civic Si for something a little faster. Here is all the details:
2000 Civic Si
Flamenco Black Pearl
73487 Miles
Clean Title in hand
Clean Carfax
2nd Owner
The Background:
I purchased this car from the original owner about a month ago. I've decided with having 3 cars (I have a new STi and a Accord) that I'm not sinking money into her because Autocross just isn't for me. I'm a road-course buff and planned turn this car into a weekend ring racer.
I took me some time to find a bone stock one that was in good condition. As you can see in the pictures, the car is really a good find, no mods, no body damage, 1 owner, purchased and service at a local Honda dealer, etc.
In the end, I just can't see putting 6-7k in it for local weekend fun 4 months out of the year auto-crossing. Also, it's nice to keep one in stock form to preserve Honda’s original intent when they built the car.
The Good:
This car is about as perfect as they come for a 6 year old black Si. Everything is stock, and I mean EVERYTHING, not even an aftermarket radio. Before I bought it, I even checked bolt heads/fasteners all around the car for tool marks, but didn't find that anything had ever been touched. I talked to the owner who was female, about 30, and she had no idea people even modified these cars. You don't have to believe that, but it is the truth.
As soon as I purchased it, I did a complete tune up with FACTORY OEM parts from my local Honda dealer. I did everything...transmission flush, brake flush, coolant flush, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, replaced both headlamp bulbs with factory bulbs(I know, I'm anal) , replaced the battery with a factory Honda battery, purchased a second remote fob and key, etc. I wanted this car to be perfect.
Mechanically the car is just about perfect. The brakes/tires are in good shape, underbody is fine, exhaust is quiet, suspension is great, CV joints are good, etc. Engine is quiet and the transmission shifts well with little effort and no grinds. The car pulls to redline very hard and can barley be heard at idle. I've been averaging about 29mpg in mixed driving.
I also cleaned the car up a little, both inside and out. The car was kept pretty well, but I wanted to clean it up as best as I could. The car includes all receipts from the original owner, factory owners manual and all the other items that came with the car when new like the SRS and maintenance books. The owner even kept the Factory window sticker and key chains from the selling dealer. All items will be included with the sale of the vehicle.
The interior/exterior of the car is in great shape as you can tell from the pictures. All the seat fabric/dash trim/door cards/ interior trim plastic/center console/air vents/floor mats/interior carpet/hardware are all in excellent shape. The wheels are all about perfect, with some very slight peeling of the center caps. All VIN stickers on all the body panels are the OE stickers and none are missing. As you can see in the pictures, the car has the factory spoiler as well.
All the gauges/radio/switches/knobs/electronics work like new. No electrical problems at all. Cruise control works perfectly, radio sounds decent, and the factory CD player works good. All the backlighting at night works and the power windows and sunroof all work smoothly without a problem. All the outside lights work fine without issue. All the lights on the car are factory STANLEY lamps with new bulbs all the way around. If there is a specific question on the interior/exterior, please ask me.
The Bad:
There is a small piece of plastic that houses the tweeter speaker on driver’s side door that has an inch long scratch on it. I found several people that have them on eBay for about $15.00
This is a nit-pick...If I was going to keep the car, I would get it buffed. I don't think the original owner waxed the car as much as they could have, and in the direct sunlight, you see some swirls/spots in the paint. There are the normal stone chips/scratches on the hood and front bumper, but try to find a 6 year old FBP Civic that doesn't have the same type of issue. The largest one is the size of a pencil eraser on the hood close to the grill.
The Price/Location/Contact:
Because of the shape of the car and the fact it is bone stock, I'm asking:
$11,000 FIRM
The vehicle is located in Lancaster PA, about an hour away from Harrisburg, 2 hours from Baltimore, and an hour and half away from Philly. I'm willing to drive to meet someone up to one hour.
You can reach me at: suprasonic182@yahoo.com
I check my email 10 times a day, so I'll be sure to get back to you if you have any questions, need more pictures, need more info, etc. I'd like to sell the car before the start of winter. Onto the pictures already!
Thanks!
Justin
