Default synthetic oil

Is synthetic oil better or even OK for my 1999 Acura 3.2 TL?

Yes, synthetic is fine, infact, I highly recommend it. If anyone tells you at higher milage to stay away from synthetic dont listen. If you've kept up with basic oil change intervals.. synthetic is for you! it will prolonge engine life...and has many other benefits if you search around!

BTW welcome to the boards, hope you stick around!

Then definitly switch over, of the many things I've noticed with full-syn. in all my cars: Increased MPG, Increased Acceleration(Engine feels more free). A good full synthetic wont "evaporate" like conventional oils do(leaving behind gunk). Synthetic will leave your engine clean, far better protected(especially against start-up wear), and you'll never regret it. I recommend Mobile 1 Full Synthetic

Oil is personal preference. There's a lot of good stuff out there, but a lot of junk as well. You can check www.bobistheoilguy.com for anything and everything related to oil. Read up, learn the compromises (there is no "best" oil), and run what you feel comfortable with running.

Thanks for the insight! I did put Mobil 1 in. I have peace of mind and am confident of the extra protection.
