Default What's it worth (getting ready to sell)

We have a '97 integra gs with just over 130,000 miles. My wife is the only owner and she has driven it very gently since new. It has leather and a sun roof and has a 5 speed. I would consider it in "good" condition since the leather shows a little wear and there are minor door dings, minor scratches, and hood chips consistent with a car of this mileage and age. Brakes are new/recent all around and the tires are have about 50% left on them. Car is maroon. Paint has been taken care of and still shines deeply. No rust and it is bone stock. It runs like a top. My wife is 8 months pregnant and I have never for a moment worried that she would be stranded. It's time for a 4 door!

I figure I could bring this car to a detailer, drop $500 and get this thing in "excellent" condition.

If I put this thing on EBAY or sell it locally, what kind of range can I expect for it? I'm sure I could get at least $4000 from carmax/dealer but I want to know what I could get if I really tried.

thanks,
Brian

I would be interested in purchasing the integra, but I need to sell my other vehicle first. If I offered $3800 what would you say? (assuming I sell my vehicle soon)

I'd say that's too low. The dealer offered me $4000 as trade-in so I know I can do better than that for sure.

$4,000 is pretty good, if a dealer offered you that, I say take it and run!

According to edmunds.com it's only worth about $2,800 in good condition for trade-in value...
