Default Resident car audio geeks needed v.headunit

ok I need to put a new head unit my dads E430....It will be either Kenwood or Alpine...The price range is under 700 bucks and needs to look good and flow with the interior. Here is a pic for reference.

nothing's going to flow like stock.

btw, isn't the stock setup fiber optic? i assume that will result in a few complications, not to mention you'll lose steering wheel controls, along with the HUD, no?

my dads doesnt have the steering wheel controls so no big deal.....the setup is only fiber optic to the CD changer...the unit itself is still good ole copper.

dislike, but then again, i dislike the look of most aftermarket headunits.

one that i do like?
kenwood ez500 (or the next step up)
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/L...k3=172&pr=2003

however, like i said, i don't know about how well it'll flow in an MBZ interior.

I can't name a particular model off the top of my head but I've always been a big fan of Alpine HU's. :hs:
