I'm confused as to why you'd need to submerge it to 10 feet...I mean wouldn't earphones be obsolete at that point?

 

that's why you get the waterproof ones

if you're surfing, it can happen

 

For watersports like ...oh lets say...kayaking maybe??

Besides if I roll most I will be under is 4 feet or so, and they also make waterproof earphones for them

Works for that too. Some people have used these for snorkeling as well.

They make one rated to 200 feet as well but it is about $160

That phone has been around for awhile in other countries. It's a decent phone.
