DO they have built in powersurge protection or do people actually carry a surge protector with them?

They don't have a built in surge protector, that I know of.

I think that would be a selling point or something companies would mention if that was true

thunderstorm and stuff like that...

Ok so here is my other question, should i get one of those travel surge protection? at home i have 1 of those surge protecting power bars... althought not sure how much protectiont it really gives me. but my laptop i usually just plug it in the any outlet. I figur since the power supply is external anyway can't really cost that much right?

up to you man. when i use my laptop at home, i just plug it directly into the outlet in the wall :hs:
