Default Car Electrical Experts Please Help!!!!

My car has been acting weird for the past couple months. Sometimes it just doesnt want to start. New battery, starter, battery terminals/wires, main relay. And it still does the same thing.

When I turn the key it sends the signal to the starter and you can hear the solonoid poping out the actuator in the starter but then it doesnt turn.

Also I noticed that if I jump the car with the + on the battery and - on the chassis it wont start but if I put the - on the starter casing it starts right up. Here's the weird part; after that happened I thought maybe it was a bad ground to the starter so I used the extra wire coming from the - battery terminal and connected it directly to the starter casing. It worked for the first 8 tries without a hitch BUT on the 9th try it fried the wire going to the battery as if there was a short all of a sudden.

Anyone know whats wrong with my car? Asked a couple mechanics and they said it was the main relay but I changed it and it still persists.

I sold the car after I pulled the alarm out which I thought was the problem because after I did it it worked flawlessly everytime. So when I sold the car it started right up everytime and they were happy. Then 6 hours later they tell me they are stuck at Kmart and the car wont start and they want their money back.

Dammit.

Had something very similar happen with one of my DAs and it's alarm. Turned out to be a loose wire between the alarm brain and the main harness because of a bad install. Just a thought, since you mentioned the alarm.

I thought it was the alarm and thats why I pulled it out and then it worked good but came back again. I'm starting to think that its maybe a ground problem near the starter.
