b18c1 in 94 civic si.. with obd2
anybody know what advantages obd2 has over obd1?
i get those codes 91 72 71 69
i kinda understood 91 was for fuel tank pressure, is there a way to fool the ecu since that sensor isnt on a civic si tank? and in too chicken shit to drill the tank to put it in lol
well i guess if theres a shop manual for obd2 ecu?
thanks

Why are you running an OBD2 setup in an OBD1 car? You should be running OBD1.

So are you running a full obd2 harness and obd2 ecu? If so, the easiest thing would be to run an obd2-obd1 harness and an obd1 ecu.

That's the whole problem. You should care, or it's never going to run right. Or you could not listen to me, and have your MIL on forever....take your pick.
I guess maybe you should have done some research before you bought someone else's project car.

none: but is required if your state requires it because your motor is 96+ and they do a inspection.
QUOTE=pascal]too chicken shit to drill the tank to put it in lol
you don't drill unless you don't have the vacuum port most do and it's a matter of transfering it to your tank also a 96 GSR ecu doesn't have the fuel take pressure sensor. I assume you have a 97+ ecu.
theres no code 69 in my book but I would guess it to be somthing about the cat. unless you have the 2nd 02 installed.
OBD1->2 is a whole new ball game as I have done 2 so far being in california the engine has to be the same year and all emission stuff has to be from the motor.
