My approval raiting just jumped from 2% to around 4%...props to the president! Only two other presidents have acknowledged this area and Bush finally sealed it's protection. Theodore Roosevelt designated this area as a national wildlife refuge, and Clinton issued multiple executive orders protecting this area in the late 90's.

Even if it was a political stunt, I really can't argue...in fact I wish it got more press.
