Default Does anybody know what kind of turbo is in a 87 Buick Regal?

I've been looking for like two hours on forums and such but I can't find what type of turbo is in these cars. I'm supposed to be rebuilding my mom's, friend's, husband's, turbo on his 87 Regal T Type, and I need to buy the rebuild kit but I don't know if it's a straight T3, or a hybrid because some forums talk about it.

You can't just go to the Buick dealer and buy a rebuild kit for the T Type? Or better yet just ask the dealer or the techs there?

Dealer wanted 230$ for just the bearings and seals. I can buy a whole rebuild kit with bearings, clips, seals, oil rings, clamp plates and bolts for about 100$ if I know which turbo.

One tech. didn't know and said that he's never even seen a Regal T Type, and the other said that it probably comes with the same turbo as a Grand National and said he doesn't know what hybrid turbo is.

EDIT~ This didn't happen to me personally. The person I'm rebuilding it for works for a Toyota dealership and I guess all the dealerships intermingle with eachother.

So you let dirty Harry work on your car from his garage? Please dude. The dealer is the best place to get ANY car worked on if you can't do it yourself.
