Default can someone explain the engine types

i keep seeing all the different engine numbers on these forums. im goin to my local junkyard tomorrow and "hoping" to find something good. i think i know where the engine numbers are on the engine but can someone break down what different engines there are for hondas around the 95 year and where to find the number for sure???

I'm not going to list all of the different engine types on here, best bet is to look up engine codes in google or try one of the many honda/acura websites...
As for where to look, usually located on the bell housing, next to the tranny...
The bell housing is what covers the clutch/torque converter...
try using google and search images for b16, b18, etc...
