I think they look retarded. I've only seen this in pictures though. Never in real life.

IMO, y buy a del sol, juss to make it look like another car? it's about as useful as the skyline taillight kit off ebay. anyway, you will also nee to make the fenders match the doors, make the hood match the windshield and the A pillar. it will deffinately require a LOT of work.

It is a lot of work, which may not be worth it, especially if you have no body work experience.

The real question is, is it really worth it "$$$" just to have that amount of individuality?

The Del Sol was a type of convertible Civic that looked classy compared to the regular Civic. It was well known during its time with a somewhat pricy figure for the type of car that it was and competed against other convertibles in its class but, you'r going to ruin it by altering half of its body with a Civic?

That's about as ugly as a gay man born with no facial structure trying to look sexy on a Saturday night.

As for Leigh3d's comment:

Only way your car can truly be origional is by doing some of your own bodywork such as you're own moldings or the sort. It's hell more origional than to just do small alterations to the body by doing conversions, spoilers, ground effects, etc etc etc. All this stuff has already been done and looks like every other rice on the road. These people give the actual bodywork artist on cars like the Civic a bad rep saying its a kids car just because all the kiddies want to look "individual".

It's not like we are talking about an actual conversion from a Del Sol to an Insight or something simular in that sence which requires welding and alot of time & money.
