Default Noob!

Hey, everybody. I joined HAN back in February, but this is my first thread. So far I've been impressed by the (mostly) good advice given, and especially by the way the members, for the most part, behave like civilized people.

Anyway, I recently dove head-first into the Honda world. I drove a '91 Integra for a few years and had big plans for it, but never did any mods to it and I've regretted selling it since the day it happened. Then a couple of months ago I ran across a deal on a '96 Civic DX coupe. Great body, great interior, 200k miles, $1500. Let the games begin! After convincing my wife that an engine swap was not a big deal, I bought it.

About a month after I bought the car I orded a JDM B18B swap from a company in NY with plans to do ls/vtec and eventually turbocharging. To my surprise, the swap shipped with an S4C LSD transmission! So much for that future purchase. Got lucky there. While I was at it, I bolted on an AEM cai, DC JDM ITR header with 2.5" collector, Carsound cat, and Apex'i WS2 exhaust.

I finished the swap a week ago. Holy crap is that car fun! And this is my baseline? My first time out I pretty much embarrassed a guy in a V6 Accord (last generation--I'm not delusional ). The thing burns the tires for about 3 seconds going into 2nd. Sure, I still have the stock tires on it, but that doesn't make melting them any less fun. The car sounds amazing, too. The only question is how long it will take until having the DX badge on the trunk isn't funny to me anymore.

Anyway, I look forward to talking with all of you and thank you for the wisdom thus far. And any advice on what to do next would be appreciated. Later on.
