Speaker Question
Hi,
I haven't been on here in years!
I have a '95 Sol I've been driving for over 6 years now. I finally replaced the stock tape player with a sweet new Alpine hu, which has also seriously upgraded the looks of the interior. It has even made the stock speakers sound far, far better than before.
Here's my delima. I'm trying to decide on speakers. I know the preferred locations for component speakers, but I'd like to keep things stealthy so as not to attract thieves. Don't laugh, but has anyone had good results putting tweeters in the factory locations of the door panels and the woofers in the rear speaker locations? The other thing I'm thinking about is just getting Infinity Reference 6012 coaxials with pivoting tweeters for the doors and leaving it at that. I just put the shallow-mount version of the 6012 in my Cherokee and love them to death. I'm not a car audio nut (not that there's anything wrong with that!) and I'd rather invest in my home system.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You will get more repleis if ya post in the Audio section. Tweets must be mounted high, factory front speaker location is to low for good sound imaging. Your best bet is a good three way speaker unless your willing to make a new hole higher at most six inches below the window remember the lower ya go the worst it'll sound.
