hey guys i have a question, back in 1977 when i moved to the town where i now live there were two tiny hondas sitting in this back yard, i always thought that i would go see if they were for sale, but you know when you snooze, you loose, and they disappeared. they were very small hatchbacks, simular to the 1979 civics except even smaller than that, one was a purple color, and the other was a bright green metallic. they had what appereared to be large black moldings around the back glass about three inches wide, other than that i can't really discribe them, i guess that they could have been JDM's brought over by someone in the military. i sure would like to find out what they were and get one if possible. any help would be appriciated. pictures to if you have them. I don't know much about the history of Hondas in US but my guess would be that Civics were the first ones to appear here, besides the motorcycles of course.

What you've described is the Z600 Coupe. I'm 99% sure they were sold in the US market from the beginning.
