Problems!!!!
I posted this problem in the prelude forum but thought I probably should've put it in here. Anyways, I drive a 2000 base prelude 5 speed. And my problem is that my speedo and odometer completely stopped working. I didn't get a check engine light, yet. But the main problem is that something is draining my battery everytime i turn my car off. i just changed the battery like a week or two ago and it already died. the mechanic said my alternator was fine but there may be a shortage in my cluster. now i'm not good at the electrical stuff but how could that cause a draining of the battery. oh yeah, i'm assuming because i was running on off of the battery with low juice, my radio turned off, tach would stop working when i turned the air on. Let's see what else happened when all this stuff started happening. Um....One of the fuses kept blowing everytime i started the car. I can't remember the fuse but I think its the one the goes to either the ECU or the ECM. The mechanic said that my VSS was fine. And I think thats about it. I haven't had my car for a week and a half and starting to get impatient. I believe a plug that plugs into the cluster got loose and unplugged because I remember going over train tracks that same morning but wasn't paying attention to the speedometer for like 5 minutes...yeah I know kinda bad but who goes by their speedometer these days
!!! Sorry for all my complaining but I want my car back. Oh, I also have indiglo gauges on there. Bought another one but the guy said i need a new cluster instead of the gauge face. So I got some sweet as gauges but the car doesn't run. Eh oh well...if you can help with this that'll be awesome. thanks to advance to whomever responds
