Default Reverse lights

I did a auto to manual swap on my civic about two years ago, and my reverse lights have never worked. I tried to wire them, so they do but all the instructions I have found are for 5th generation cars, and it doesn't seem to work for 6 generation cars. I already tried shorting the grn/blk wire to the yellow wire and that doesn't work. Does anyone know what wires I need to connect?

It's pretty simple. You know where the lockup up solenoid was in the auto plug that connector into the reverse switch. Then at the computer A17, A18 cut the wires the yellow and green/blk. Wire the yellow to where the shifter harness was to the yellow and same as the green/blk. That's it!

I already have the switch connected, but you want me to cut the wires that go into the ecu?

yep, just cut it because it's going to nothing since it's now a manual the ecu doesn't need to control the lockup solenoid. Just trust me I've done it and I'm a Master ase tech. Cut those wires and they will work without a doubt.

At the ecu which is the second pic
it goes like this
A1 A3 A5 A7 A9 A11 A13
A2 A4 A6 A8 A10 A12 A14

you get the point just cut at A17 A18 yellow and green with black stripe
