What kind of freon is in the 99 dx hatch? r12 or r134?

all your OLD vehicles are r12 unless they have been converted to r134 which is the smarter and cheaper way just fyi

There is no "Freon" in your car. Freon is the trade name for CFC12, HFC134A is not "Freon."

sorry haha. I just wanted to makre sure because I didn't see a tag that it said what to use under my hood , or in the engine bay.

No problem, there should be a sticker somewhere under there (it is US federal law.)

Some '93 vehicles and all 94+ vehicles use HFC134A from the factory.
