This is a VERY well maintained legend, and just so happens to be one of the rarest and most sought-after of any.

CONDITION: Overall, Paint is probably an 8 to 8.5 out of 10. It just has a few deep scratches in the clear on the trunk near the OEM spoiler (with brake light), not going all the way down to the basecoat or primer. Zero Rust and no signs of ever having any. A good buff job will cure 95% of the paint blemishes - there's not many to begin with though. This car is NOT perfect. It does have a few parking lot dings. I was going to have them removed, but in doing so I would also raise the price. By allowing the next owner that option, they can get the car for a lower price and have the work done at their leisure and at the shop of their choice. The only place that I think that the paint could use some "attention" is on the hood - some light surface scratches, but nothing that a professional detailer with an hour of time (about $30 total cost) couldn't fix. Again, I'm leaving this up to the next owner so I can keep the price down for everyone.

The paint appears to be original except for the hood, front bumper, and driver side fender. Carfax doesn't show any accidents, and the parts appear to be original. The previous owner stated that they were repainted due to excessive rock chips. I think the fenders were re-cleared to blend the new hood/bumper paint.

Leather is probably a 8 or so on a scale of 1-10. No cracks or tears on the front, but the brown is starting to show thru on some of the deeper lines in the leather. Very good for a southern (hot climate) car that's 12 years old and original leather. In the back seat on the passenger side, there's a VERY small tear (see pics) in the bottom cushion near the crease where the back meets the seat that is NOT NOTICEABLE. The carpet is in VERY good shape and is very clean. You can tell that this car wasn't eaten or smoked in by any of the owners on a regular basis.

Mechanically, it's VERY sound and runs quiet (no lifter noise). The engine pulls very strong and gets and astounding 27+ MPG on my mostly-highway commutes. I typically get about 415 miles on a tank before the gas light comes on and I usually have to put just over 15 gallons in it.

It does have tint, but it's purple and in bad shape. The ONLY reason that it's still on there is to protect the interior until I had it redone locally. I haven't had the time to find the best shop to do the job and it's hard to turn it loose since I'm depending on it to get me to and from work every day. I just don't want someone to think that the tint is worth keeping because it's definitely something that will need to be addressed when the time allows.

HISTORY: Originally a South-Florida lease car, this vehicle spent it's first 3 years in the Miami area. It was originally titled as NEW on 8/11/1994 in Jensen Beach, FL. After being turned in for the 36-month lease, it was sold at an Auto Auction on 12/15/97 with 36,770 miles. It was transferred to the dealer on 12/26/97 with 36,771 miles. From there, it traveled north to the Jacksonville, FL area where it was purchased by the last owner on 1/14/98. She (adult female driven) continued to own it until Januaury of 2006 when I flew to Jacksonville and picked it up for the drive back to East Tennessee.

It has been dealer-serviced it's entire life, and the records dating back to 2002 to current can be obtained from Acura. I have a recent Carfax from back in January when I bought it that I am providing below.

It received a timing belt and water pump at the 90k mile service. Then it got a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel at about 110k miles. The radiator was replaced at around 120k miles and flushed about 15k ago. The dealer has recently replaced the Steering Rack, the VSS, hood latch, and some other minor parts including new accessory belts and spark plugs. I have repaired the EGR valve and replaced the thermostat with an OEM one and replaced the Bose Amp and Speakers. The new Amp is an Alpine 5-channel with 60Wx4 and 120x1. The speakers are new Polk Audio and the amp is wired for a sub, and will be provided with an Infiniti 12" sub in a Q-logic box. I have also had the upper intake plenum and fuel rails cleaned/flushed along with regularly the scheduled minor maintenance like fluid changes and filters.

It has a set of Michelin MXV4 tires that were put on at about 178k and have a lifetime balance and rotation warranty as well as road-hazard thru NTB.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, it has NO HISTORY of overheating. It did run COOLER than normal when I first got it, but that was diagnosed to a bad OEM thermostat that was stuck in the OPEN position allowing too much coolant flow. I have let the car sit and idle over 30 minutes parked and the needle goes straight to the 4th line on the temp gauge and doesn't budge now that it has an OEM Thermostat in it - as shown in the pics below.

This car runs nice and smooth as it should. Highway feel is exceptional to say the least.

My reason for selling it so soon is due to a change in job compensation. I have to drive 115 miles round-trip, 5-days a week for my commute. Just after I purchased this car, I was offered mileage compensation by my company which equates to quite a bit of extra money every month. I'm going to let this rare beauty go to someone who won't put so many miles on it and I'm going to drive a more "common" car instead of killing this one with my commute.

I'm hoping to pass it on to an enthusiast here so it will be properly maintained and babied like any rare car should.

If you are interested, let me know or post a response here. If I don't get a deposit in the next week or two, then it will either go on ebay or autotrader.

A comparable Legend on Autotrader with 106k and Green Exterior with Tan Interior recently sold for nearly $14,000. Another comparable is the Black/Black GS with an auto and 125k on here by Supra2NV for $10,900.
