I have seen insane power made from stock H22 blocks compared to everything else besides the K series. They will hold up better than a B or D series assuming the tuning is great.

i'm considering putting a b18b in my dd and turboing it for fun and then buying a hatch and puttin in an h22a and turboing that...just wonderin if people think its a good idea. would it need to be built to sufficiently support turbo?

they seem to hold up about the same as stock b-series... keep it around 8psi, tune well, and you should be fine.

Why don't you just wait until you get a hatch instead of buying two motors and two turbo kits?
