Default New bicycle

I am looking to buy a new bike that can function as a semi-trick bike, ride confortable to work, possible gear shifting. I don't want rear shocks, just front. And no one say Mongoose. THEY SUCK!!! They were bought out by Pacific (who makes huffy's) and their quality has gone WAY down. I have been looking into Specialized, Spooky (If I can find one), and a few other brands. Anyone have nice hardtail multi-geared bikes?

Santa Cruz makes some really nice DH bikes.

Edit: But they are full suspension. I am a big fan of full suspension h:

I have a Specialized Rock Hopper...I got it when I was 14 and it just came out...I loved it. My dad still rides it, going strong 10 years later.
