Default 17 x 7.5 on 6th Gen Civic

Anyone run these and if so, what tire sizes are you running?

Any clearing or rub'n issues? I'm only dropped 1.6 all around... Pics would be great too!

Every 17x7.5" wheel I ran rubbed with 205/40x17" tires. It's just too wide and large for a Civic.

Really, even w/the proper offset? It's not that I choose a 7.5" wide wheel for any specfici purpose, the wheels I had my eyes on only comes in that size and according to the site, it fits my Civic. Thanks for the reply!

Any others? Recommended wheel sizes?

Why not show us the wheel you wanted, and we'll try to show you a similar wheel with the right sizing.

What do you guys think? I have a green Civic and it's my daily (75 miles a day) so I'm not looking for any high-end wheels.

Thanks for the input... Any suggestions would be great too!

With such a long commute daily, have you considered a set of 16's instead? Not trying to sway you away from your choice, it's just that riding on a set of 17's for so long wouldn't be the most comfortable ride.

Yeah, I've considered 16s which I have no prob doing as long as I like em and they look good on my car. My prev car was a 5th Gen Accord and I have an IS now so I've never followed wheel details on Civics. 17s seem to be the avg (or at least used to be) size wheel so that's why I was aiming towards that size. I guess I could do more research too, But yeah, I've commuted w/17s before w/no problem so comfort isn't an issue. What do most people w/Civics run (wheel size wise)?

16's look best on 5th/6th gen civic coupe/sedans.
