attn: syracuse area guys
i know there arent very many but oh well....
Holly and I are thinking about selling the house in Utica since she got a new job in Syracuse and the commute isn't very economical.
so anyway, if we do, we'd like to buy a house in a good school district and we aren't really all that sure about what's what out there. we're thinking in terms of not too big, a reputation for solid academics, and of course, nothing in the hood

could ya help me out a little bit and tell me a few places we should probably look? our budget for a house is limited so as much as id like to live in FM or on Caz lake, it probably wont happen

id have to say FM or JD are the best districts to look at it. i would say there are houses in Jamesville or Dewitt that are priced pretty well. dont have the kid go to ESM, everyone hates ESM
yeh. thats just basing it on what kind of kids come out of there, not exactly the best people to be around.. no offense to anyone who did go there, its not all that bad, three of my best friends went there

i mean im no expert in the field, but i would say most schools around syracuse are pretty good. i would just stay away from the city schools obviously. liverpool, cns, west genny, west hill, esm..
esm district is probably a good choice if your girl got a job in dewitt, damn close.

I went to highschool at FM - the surrounding suburb of Manlius is really $$ so the students are really stuck up pricks (such as myself). The education is great and it beats the inner city. The area just costs a ton of money. If you live in Fayetteville, its slightly cheaper.
I spent 2 years in the FM school district and just wasn't a fan. Too many rich snobby kids for my taste. Very cliquey. The best school districs are FM, JD and WG...I went to WG in high school and really liked it. Plus they just finished a huge addition/renovation.
Housing in Camillus is pretty affordable...much cheaper than Fayeteville. Come live by me :wavey:
