Default How to check or reset SRS light on 01-03 civic?

I just notice that on my gf's 01 civic coupe that the SRS light came on. Is there anyway to check to see what's wrong or turn it off without going to the dealership?

There should be a thread already like this from like 2 days ago....check it out....but you'll have to take it to the dealer....because if the lights on your airbags wont' work i think

not sure this works on all 01+ civics but it does for older ones, i did this on my 97
if there isnt actually anything wrong with the srs system then this will reset the light, if there is an actual problem then it should trip the light again so you will need to take it to honda

good luck, i suggest taking the bottem dash off, the plug is a pain to get to

Try uplugging the negative terminal from the battery, providing that you do not have your stock Radio cause if you do, have the code at hand.

I don't know if this will work, but you could try to see if it does. Find your service check connector and jump it and see if it flashes- you're trying to get a code from the ECM if possible, like I said not 100% positive if this is going to work.

Cause faulty codes are stored in the ECM if they exist.
