reverse gear grinding

Default reverse gear grinding

almost every time i put it in reverse it grinds. yes i have the clutch all the way in.

might just be ur synchros going bad h:

if u cant fix it right now, try putting the car into 1st, first.... then reverse... that should be a temp fix

there are no syncros in reverse

before you go into reverse, put it in first or third then go right into reverse, works all the time...

mine grinds when im still rolling forward when i put it in. but if im at a dead stop or rolling back it goes in no grind

true allright,i spoke with a mechanic and he said that it is better to first put th car in 1st gear before one goes to reverse ,instead of neutral to reverse!!!

i tried putting it in first, and then reverse. woo! no more grindage

i would be rolling slowly forward. then putting it into reverse with the clutch all the way in and it would give a slight grind i was wasnt rolling at a high rate of speed

Mine does this as well; I slightly disengage the clutch and let it grind a little, then try to go into reverse again and it'll work like a champ.

What's actually behind this though? (Hopefully something a new and improved clutch, next on my work list, will eliminate?)
