Default Vin # check

I just checked my VIN # on carfax and it telling my car is a 1998 DOHC VTEC... but the stamp next to it says B18A1... The VIN # tag looks original it has the Honda "H" stanp on the bolts holding it into place... is it possible to replace the VIN # like that?
