i'm hearing a squeak from under the hood while i'm driving!

not constantly, only for a sec or two when i'm accelerating bet 3000 n 4000rpm...

please help me figure this out!

 

are you sure it's not more of a rattle.... what trim is your car... G3 gsr's are known to have a heat-shield rattle

 

no it's like a high pitched squeak, any idea what went wrong?

 

you may have a very small exhaust leak at your header/head connection... may want to pull it... replace the gasket and see if that solves it

edit: when was the last time you did any belt maitenance... you could have a belt slipping

 

I hear a high pitched subtle squeak also in between shifts in my car. I'm guessing it's one of the belts needs to be replaced...no clue when the previous owner changed them. As tegbooster eludes, you may want to look into that also. I have that scheduled out for next week.
