Default Spark plugs

do my plugs look ok? to me they look lean...
cheap bosch... replaced with ngk. those plugs have about 7k on them.

They look lean to quite lean.

what do i need to do? i burn 93 octane from shell. v-power... says it has cleaning agents...

See how the NGK's look after a while. If they're still looking lean, make sure the gap is correct, and check ignition timing.

gap is at .044 and how do you check the timing?
also does the motor being ls/vtec have anything to do with it? it has the p72 ecu.

to get the correct reading your thinking of....you must put in new plugs....drive the hell out of the car...then right after you floored it shut off the car and check the plugs. do not let it idle since that could case the fuel to burn off the plugs. cars dont run rich on idle....or at least most dont. that is the only true way of telling of the mixture. you cn get close by taking ut the plugs at 7,000 but did your car idle for long periods of time?

yeah they look lean to me too. i need to check mine also, my car misfires alot h:

i'm wondering if the flash of the camera isn't making those plugs look whiter than they really are...

they are very white just in regular lighting. it did idle for about 2 min

The car should be idling at 14.7:1, so the plugs will not get any whiter or any blacker.
