Default Distributor Problem?

I think my distributor is going to be screwed soon. I am getting jerking and hesitation on light throttle and upon throttle release. This is more obvious when I am going up a slope on the freeway. Initially I replaced my plugs as they looked kinda black. The car was well for a week until today after I took a sharp bend at a slightly higher speed. I am suspecting it is my LSD acting up. Can a faulty LSD cause this problem? I was thinking of replacing my distributor cap and rotor. Is this a good idea? Am I running too rich causing my plugs to foul sooner than its life span? Are the distributor caps for B16A motors the same as that of the B18C ones? Hope someone can help me out. I'm going crazy driving a jerking car

Are you throwing any codes...I know that my Prelude is throwing a Code 9 (TDC sensor)..which basically is a new distributor...I replaced it and its doin alot better than before...It still jerks at around 4k (rpm) but not as often....Check the distributor and see if the wires are all burnt out like mine were.
