Default totaled gsr

so i finally get a call from the guy who came out and looked at my car, said it was over 4500 worth of damage and since my car blue booked at 4500 the totaled it. i just put a slightly used tranny in it with a clutch kit and a fidanza flywheel in and now it is useless. they told me they would reinburse me the 1,215 i paid for the tranny so i should get back about 5700. im going to try and buy back the car for cheap, my friend has a nice 93 civic ex with a blown motor that he said he'd sell me for 1,000. i wanted to put it into another teg but this is a good deal, plus il have money left over for a custom turbo and some rims, so i guess everything will be ok just thought id post this up

Sorry to hear.

$1000 for a 13 year old car with a blown motor from a "friend" is a ripoff, BTW.
