Who makes the intake? I would contact whoever you bought it from and place an inquiry. Cause, the smog tech. could "technically" fail you on visual if he wanted to be a dick and most will be these days. My suggestion if you cannot get a carb sticker. By a new bypass valve by AEM. They come w/carb stickers. Just stick that on the intake and you'll be fine. Only the bar ref. "might" consider actually looking in the 1 million page book to see what exactly that carb number was issued for and for what car.

It is all up to the smog tech.

I has CARB stickers for everything on my car and they laughed at me when I popped the hood and expected them to pass me.

It is just an intake. If worse comes to worse, it will take 10 minutes to pull it off and put the OEM intake on.

Just stick the air box on. You don't need the resonator.

What happened after they laughed at you? Did you get turned away or did they go ahead and place it on the dyno and see what the deal was? Did it pass?

No, I just left with my ego a little deflated. I got a smog hookup through a friend instead.

So even though everything had carb numbers he still flipped the script on you. That sucks. WTF good are carb numbers if no-one is going to honor them? Asswipes.

Exactly. If I would have known that, I would have sprung for a better turbo kit.

Oh well, when I move to Colorado in the summer, they don't have emissions tests, so I can do what I please and California can kiss my ass.
