Default 99 integra code for radio????

I changed the battery this past weekend in my 1999 integra LS. Now the theft deterrent on my radio is activated. It needs a 5 digit code to unlock it. Does anyone know where i can find this code and how i would go about unlocking my radio?

Thanks for your help.

You may be able to just go down the the dealership with your car registration so that they have your vin# and proof of you being the owner of the car. The anti-theft code might be in their Acura.net database. If not, you will have to pull out your radio and in addition to having your registration handy, give them the serial number in back of your radio. Once you get that code, save it.

I've had the anti-theft code for my Si memorized for many years...

It should be in your owner's manual, if you have it.

Actually, I think that the code was printed on a credit card sized plastic card that was with the owners manual package. You aren't supposed to keep that card in your glovebox or anywhere that is easy for thieves to find. So most people took those cards out of the card and put them in their wallet or car files at home... and then forgot about them.

Most people don't even know about it....and left it there.

Well hopefully for doodlerdh, he finds that code in there. I've never had that luck with any of my used cars, Hondas or BMWs with anti-theft radios. *shrug*

They are not supposed to give out that code unless they have proof of proper ownership. Just giving out that information over the phone like that defeats the concept of the anti-theft system of it. lol! That would mean that any thief could steal one of these anti-theft radios and call up the dealership for the activation codes.

But do they give it out over the phone? Or are you are regular customer on file with the dealership? They are supposed to only give out those codes to someone that they are sure is the proper owner of the radio.
