Default can it be done?

hello there everyone. im a honda fan since i bought my car 4 years ago. its a 1985 civic sedan and i swaped a zc1 in it ( very rare engine here ). i love that car and i had made a lot of fancy carowners to take second thoughts on their car decision . i would had tuned this car to the edge ( i was even thinking the 4wd swap from the civic shuttle) but unfortunetly here in greece i cant find even hard shock absorber for this car. as a mater of fact everything in this car in "nonfactory". axcept the shock absorbers. so i had enough of searching around and i dont want to end in a wall or sth . so i want to change it. i love drifting so i thought of getting a rwd car but honda doesnt many of them. the problem is that i cant afford a s2000 neither a nsx . (this might sound nuts but yep im damn serious) a friend of mine is selling cheap to me a 1994 bmw 318 is coupe and i thought mabye, just mabye, i can fit a b18 in it. honda rules!!! take care everyone and god bless the japs

I think that's his question.

I don't even want to answer it.

EDIT: Now I do. No.

Well, anything is possible with the right amount of money. It's RWD though, so have fun with the drivetrain :hsugh:

well exuse me for being not very specific in my post but it happens that english is not my native language so i think ive done quite well. "a friend of mine is selling cheap to me a 1994 bmw 318 is coupe and i thought mabye, just mabye, i can fit a b18 in it, can this be done?" this is the question. hoping that i get a answer from ppl that are smart enough to do that kind of swap and who probabilly get it, i thought its not necesary for extra explaination. and 97civicEXVTEC,sorry but that "i-know-everything-and-im-not-willing-to-tell" aditude its kinda uncool.

I wasn't trying to bust your balls, just trying to clarify.

Swap a REAL motor in there like M3 or even rebuild the stock motor and juice it up.

Fabricating mounts for a B is just...a waste of time and money...at least for that car. It would be an abomination.

The normal catch all "anything can be done with enough time and money" apply here but honestly, no, you can't do it. The biggest obstacle you will face is that all B-series engines are fwd and a BMW 318 is rwd. Nobody makes a rwd B-series transmission. If you seriously wanted to do a Honda powered BMW, the S2000's engine is probably your only option but finding a way to mount the engine and make the computers happy is going to be a complete nightmare. If you want a daily driven, every-day-go-to-work car that's powered by a Honda B-series engine, go buy an Integra. It will make your life a lot easier.
