Default why is my clutch pedal not coming back up

when i push it in it stays on the floor. i just finished my clutch and haven't bled the line yet and was wondering if that could be why.

the master cylinder? i don't think that uses a spring. i was thinking that it was due to lack of presure from the clutch lines.

It could be hydrolic but it seems more likely that it's mechanical, like say somewhere out of sight. Just my .02

Air in the lines or fluid levels are low. You may also have a leak.

if i pull it back up it comes up with next to no effort and it will sit in the normal position. it's just easier then normal to push it down and it doesn't come back up.

i agree, lack of pressure, when i bleed the clutch lines, it doesnt spring back up, i have to manualy pull it back up to pump it again
