Default 02 sensor problem...Help!!!

alright check this out i got a 96 civic ex, manual trans... my check engine light came on about a month ago, i took my car to emissions and they told me that it was my 02 sensor, i bought another 02 sensor from autozone and change it myself (it was real easy) ....the light never went away so i took it to honda and they told me that both of my 02 sensors -the one before the cat and the one on the cat needed to be changed so i got honda to change the one on the cat and they said the sensors have to be from honda or else the light wont go away so for the one before the cat i went to a junkyard and found a 96-98 honda and got that one (used) and put it on myself again and my light still wont go away ... do i have to reset the light or what could be wrong cuz they r both honda sensors ones brand new... and the other one (before cat) is used... please help Its such a hassle i dont know what to do?...

pull your ecu fuse...unplug the battery...unplug your ecu.....any one of those will reset your ecu.
the proper way to reset the system (honda master tech told me this ) is to take the negative terminal and touch it wiht the positive terminal. but i am still skeptical about that one.

yeah...dont know where he got that from, but in the factory service manual, you can reset the ecu by pulling the back up fuse from the under hood fuse box for like a minute.

that is what i said...but thanks for saying it again...and it really doesnt matter if for a minute or days....as soon as you pull the fuse there isnt power there anymore....so one second would work as well. since your trying to make me look dumb....i just thought i would make you look dumb as well.....and by the way....i gave him four diffrent options...as to your one that i already told him about.
