Default New Civic Si rims

I'm new here. I'm mainly on the Accord forum....

What are the best aftermarket (racey for AutoX) rims for the new Civic Si? Any out yet? I'm mainly looking for the weight savings over the stock but I don't want to spend a fortune either. Kosei's? or something else?

Rotas are great for the money; but I wouldn't say that they are all that light even when compared to stock.

I run 13X8 Rota RBs on the Miata we race in Autocross; and they are not all that light. In fact, they are pretty heavy all things considered. BUT... They fit and work like a champ.

My buddy bought and liked the Kosei (sp?) K1s for his mid-90's Civic. They seemed to be VERY light.

What else would work that's lighter than stock; but still not a fortune?

This SHOULD be the correct info for the stock rims for the new Si:

Wheel size is 17x7
Lug Pattern is 5x114
Offset is 45mm
Stock tires are 215/45/17
Weight is around maybe 19-20 lbs.

Can anyone confirm this info???

Would a 225 or 245 series (R compound) fit on this rim?

What about SSR competitions? 11.5lbs on a 15" rim.

So would that put a 17" rim of theirs around the 13-15 lb mark? It will have to be the same rim size as stock because I'd want to stay in stock class to start with.

Oops... you must have the EP3 or the new Si.... sorry.

The SSR comps in 17x7.5 are 12.5 lbs... also very light weight.

Yes. I'm talking about the new Si. And I will have to use a 17 X 7 as well because that is stock.

According to Tirerack.com:

Kosei K1 TS: 17 X 7 = 14.1 lbs @ $199 ea
