Wats up guys, i have a d15b7 no vtec del sol. My tranny is shot because it grinds in 2nd 3rd and 4th. trust me its not the clutch..... my questions are what other single cam trannies should i buy..... the si.... the ex.... i do plan on doing a mini swap in a couple of months. and finally if i get say an si or ex tranny......since it redlines higher would i be able to use a tachometer????

since when does a tranny allow you to raise your redline? the d16z6 si tranny is geared the shortest and the ex is the next.

 

yeah thas wat i really meant.....gearing sorry.......so for me wat would u recommend???? like if u were me which one would you buy?

 

i was looking to get an si tranny, which is obviously what i would get. but they're hard to find and pretty expensive so i would just go with the ex.

 

SI or EX are the best for tunerz out there not ur ricer stuff

wel...... it lets you get to the high rpms quicker caauuse instead of redlinin at for example 30 mph in first gear, you red line at like 22 mph makin you high power quicker...... or something to that extent

 

the only difference between the SI and EX trans is the fifth gear...

and you don't use fifth for racing.

so the EX trans would be better than the SI
