Default lowering civic

i have a 3dr civic 1994. i want to lower it about 40 -50mm. im planning on using my stock shocks but i was wondering whether to use spax lowered springs 40mm or adjustable coilovers from ebay. i was wondering which one would give a beter ride comfort as i am looking just to lower my car to make the gap between the arch and wheel smaller and not for racing so comfort is more important.

thanks

well you get what you pay for so i wouldnt get anything cheeply made, you prob. wont be satisfied with it...if you think you want to adjust your height in the future i would get coilovers preferablly a good brand ,ive heard good things from tein, ground control, skunk 2, etc.. but if you just want your car lower you can just buy springs but still buy a good brand so you wont sacrifice you ride comfort ,but also driving on stock shocks still wont be as good of a ride as you would have with aftermarket because they're not meant for lowering and will most certainly blow in time, so its up to you and your wallet as to what you would prefer really

suspension really really isnt something to skimp on , i would rather save up my money and get tein , omnicoils, groundcontrol ,etc. if you buy cheap stuff now you are going to have to replace it (a lot!!!) not saying that all cheap stuff is bad, but when it comes to suspension as HcOiNvDiAc said "U get what you pay for" especially if you want comfort and dont plan on replacing it every 2 months

No matter what springs you get, your ride will be shit if you use stock shocks.
Upgrade your shocks and springs at the same time if you are concerned with ride quality....
Stock shocks cant dampen the higher spring rates of aftermarket lowering springs, the end result is a bouncy car.......
Want a good ride? go with a reputable spring manufacture (not ebay brand shit) and a quality shock that matches the spring rate...
Want a lowrider? get cheap ebay springs, remove the bumpstop, lower the car 5" and ride like a baller.....(not really because you will look like an idiot)......
If you absolutly don't want to swap your shocks then go with a lighter spring rate from ground control or like.
