01 Civic Daytime Running Lights Not Working
The daytime running lights stopped working, DRL light is on in the instrument cluster, both headlights are working, both high and low beams. I checked the fuses under the dash, there are 2 one 7.5A and a 10A. The 10A was blown so I replaced it and it blew as soon as I turned the ignition on, so I guess there is a short somewhere. I took a light tester and went from ground to that particular fuse and sure enough the bulb lit when there was no power on the ignition. I checked the 7.5A fuse and the light on the tester didn't light so my guess is that there is definitly a short in the other circuit. I checked under the hood and found 2 relays for headlights. Is there another relay that is isolated from the headlight relays that operate ONLY the DRL's?

I have a similar problem sans the blown fuse ... my DLR light is on and my Dayl Light Running lights are not functioning. I've asked this question on other sites and have no answer. If I get one I will post it here.
It may be different on that year, but on some of the older ones there was a seperate relay (only one if I remember) in the engine bay for DRL and several wires and connections located above the under-dash fuses.
No experience working on DRL myself though. Worse comes to worse, if you feel it's a safety issue, you could leave your brights on during the day, since DRL uses the high-beams at lower power.
