are the oil filter for the 2000 civic interchangeable with the 2002 civic filters?

and where would be a good place to buy honda original oem filters?

 

As far as I know, they are different. A lot of the aftermarket oil filter part numbers do not interchange.

 

grr.. looks like i'll have to buy 2 different types of filter then. any place where i can get the original oem ones for cheap?

No!

The standard Honda filter for everything except the S2k, NSX and Insight is the PLM. These are made by Fram/Honeywell in the US market.

The standard S2k/NSX filter is the PCX, made by Toyo Ruki of Japan. It is larger then the PLM, but is a direct replacement. In fact, I use them in my FC and 3000GT.

The Insight uses a freakishly small filter made by Toyo Ruki. Forget about those.

 

ah.. good thing. man, i use to buy my filter for my EJ8 from www.handa-accessories.com before for a good price. i remember i had bought a dozen before from them for like about under $4. and now they are close to $5 each. damn!

anyone else have hookups to buying original oem filters for my 2000 civic (EJ8) and 2002 civic (ES1)?

Maybe, depends on how much you are willing to spend and how many you want.
