Default MTX Q's

I have a 93 EX w/5spd mtx. Everytime i shift to 3rd, it grinds into it. The motor/trans has nearly 200k miles on it, so i plan on dumping them and gettin one from a j/y wit less mileage.

My question is:
All of the axles (atx and mtx) from the d-series 92-95 the same right?? And although i have an EX motor, i can still use a DX/LX 5spd tranny if i find one cheaper with less mileage???

Are the oem clutch kits model specific between the DX/LX/EX models?? or are they all the same and can be used on each other?

Thanks, much appreciated! :-)

I can find decent trannys around here from $200-$300. This car also need the axles to be replaced. Are the axles on eBay for the Civic good to purchase?? They cost $80 a piece at the parts stores here(autozone, advanced, napa, etc...)

If these axles are good for oem replacement, then i will get them. I'm just trying to get my civic up and running.

well then i guess when i get another tranny from the junkyard i'll ask them to throw in the axles. hopefully they will be in good shape. Whats the deal with these civic axles anyways??????

Between me, i've noticed that alot of civics' axles tend to brake. My gf's civic needs new axles and everyone else that i know who owns a civic around my city needs new axles. At least my Escort holds up to axles pretty darn good.
